Monte Serra is the highest peak amongst the Monti Pisani, 917 m a.s.l., from its height among the luxurious vegetation you can admire the scenery of the entire central-northern Tuscan coast, right out to some of the islands off the coast on clear days!
Being between the Plain of Pisa and that of Lucca, Monte Serra offers magnificent views of these two as you cycle up!
Other attractions are the Ceragiola Pass and the Santallago Natural Reserve which lies on a plateau, a vast meadow surrounded by ancient chestnut and fir trees. The farm estate in the Reserve houses a restaurant offering excellent refreshment for visitors.
Route: Either on MTB or racing bicycle, or electric bike, with or without a guide. Distance will be decided upon the tourist’s cycling skills and training if guided.
